Hey Rudy,
Surprisingly, with our bucket/shim design, as the engine wears, the valves hammer the seats further into the heads, and so the clearances actually decrease with wear, and so it would be a good bit of insurance to at least check them. IF they are too close/small then you can damage valves/burn them, etc., once the engine warms up and is run that way.
