I've come across a dealer that will give a good deal on Avon tires ($150 for front & rear installed). Any recomendations/comments regarding Road Runners vs. Super Venoms (or a combination thereof...SV - front, RR - rear)? I ride mainly city & mountains. Thanks for any input.

actually I have a SV on front and a RR on the rear and it seems to do pretty good.. rain grooves dont pull me around anymore like it did with the dunlop on front. I have not got to do alot of twisty riding in the last 1000 miles on them , but so far... so good.Shawn

I really liked my super venoms for grip, always trusted them on the few occasions where I scraped the pegs and in the rain. I have had 4 of them on the rear, but only got 3500 to 4000 miles on each one. But this year I could not get the rear in the 120 size, so I am trying a battlax rear this time. Front one gets about 3 times the mileage, current one 4 years old and shows little wear.
Now that I know the 130 fits on the rear, I would not hesitate to buy a super venom again. Will see how long the BattleAx lasts.Marty in NW PA

I recently picked up an Avon 90/130 17” for the rear of my 11 Standard. I got it off eBay for $30 plus shipping. ($45 total.) IT was a hell of a good deal on a good tire. Avons have always been good tires but not always great tires. At this price they’re a steal.
