Read a lot of post on this subject and have not seen where anyone has been able to find any joy. Any Luck anyone? Also has anyone converted to XS special brakes? ( those I have ). IF SO DETAILS?

There is a guy on the XJbikes.com website (chacal) that sells TONS of XJ parts. He says he has them for sale. Here is the page where he lists them as follows:

It's about 2/3 of the way down the page. This is actually the ONLY reason I switched from the OEM rear Master Cylinder on my '81 XS1100 MNS to the XJ version. The MNS rebuild kits are not available ANYWHERE, but the XJ Master Cylinder is a perfect fit for the '81 MNS since it's a tad larger bore, but the same external size/shape.

Double check that you REALLY need to rebuild your Master Cylinder before you spnd the money though. First, be sure to BENCH BLEED it before putting it on the bike! Also, the linked brakes have a line that runs up and under the fuel tank, and that (being the high point in the system) tends to collect air bubbles. You should probably use a power bleeder to suck the fluid through the system fast enough so the bubbles don't have a chance to collect there. If you don't, it will seem as though it's not pumping all the air out, and you'll be horribly frustrated. DAMHIK.
