I have not used it, but from what I understand, that is the ultimate, perfect battery for our bikes. It's sealed, and no need to worry about maintenance (adding water, trickle charging, etc.). It supposedly keeps it's charge a lot longer (through the winter even) than the liquid acid batteries. It's just a bit pricey. I know next time I get a battery, this is the one I will be getting. Only downside (if it counts as one) is that you can't use the XJ's battery sensor on it, so that becomes an unused light in the instrument panel on the XJ.

I dont know about this particular brand itself...however I would think any gel battery would be much better than the old style acid types that you have to maintain...furthemore when you compare the OEM Yamaha battery with the sensor connection which I priced at $200 the sensorless sealed battery is waaaay less expensive at $76.95...The battery warning "light" is constantly on because the sensor has no connection...so I can live with that...I got fed up with the old style batteries when it leaked acid down onto my chromed exhaust and staining it pretty badly...YMMV

I used an AGM battery for may years (6) in my XJ and never had to do any maintenence work to it. I finally killed it by putting the wrong type of chager on it or it would probably still be working today. (Used a constant 1-amp instead of a float charger, overheated the batt.)

There is a fix to turn off the battery warning light on the XJ when using a battery that does not have the fluid level sensor. See:

Its a $2.00, 20 minute fix.

I have not used that brand of battery but have used the AGM type in my atv and its awesome. it came charged and no messy acid to fill. My atv sits around because its a polaris POS. and when it wants to run its always charged. the next battery for my xs will be an AGM type.

Not that one but my last AGM battery didn't even last 1 year.Dennis Kirk took it back and pro rated the battery.They said maybe i got a defective unit.

Switched to AGM on both my bikes. Highly recommended upgrade.

I got what I believe is that exact same battery from MikesXS and it works great. Nice not to have to worry about the water level and leaking.

I have used AGM type batteries in both my XS's.
My personal XSperience hasn't been positive.
Neither lasted more than 2 years.
They were Interstate brand.
