numbers on emulsion tubes

Hi everyone !!!!!!!!1 Great site btw i have a question my emulsion tube as number 300 on it and i got a rteplacement for it and it says 270 should i try putting it on what will be the damages on the long run 34 mm mikuni carbs I will mention i will be replacing only 1 emulsion tube and not all 4 sorry for grammar and spelling english is my 3rd language,,,, please advise

English and grammer have no place on this site. Some think is does, but they are wrong.
Compare the two emulsion tubes side by side. Do they have the same # of side holes and same diameter? Do they have the side hole down by the threads if you have a 78-79. If they appear all the same they will probably by ok. But since they have different #'s I'm guessing not. What is wrong with the one you are replacing?

the one oddball tube will probably cause you problems, you'll have to re-jet and tune that one carb different then all the other to get the bike to run right. Will it work, yeah probably if you've got the time to sit and tinker with the jetting on that carb until it runs the same as the rest. The best solution would be to replace it with one that matches all the others, or if thats not possible to replace them all with matching tubes.
