  • bad throttle response

    1979 xs11 falls on its face slow response under 3500 rpm,s unless you go real easy. bought bike in may 09 first street bike .love this bike . any tips on what might be causing problem?
    stock jets as far as i know carbs tore down and cleaned 1 month ago zanesville,ohio

      Well, somebody moved it so lets get to the issue. What jetting are the carbs running and what are your intake and exhaust set-ups? These are good things to add to your signature.

        Next thing to add is "when did you last/how many times" have you stripped the carbs down for a thorough cleaning? Any thing less than "recently" and "three times" and your first course of action will be obvious.
