Hi guys, been searching but can't find the posts about jets from a Volkswagen or Audi model being the same as our main jets.

Also, has anyone else needed to rejet due to using a k&n filter in the stock airbox??

Just go to almost any cycle shop and ask for "Large Round Mikuni Jets" tell them the size you want, and that you need four.

I have not found the need ...

to rejet using that exact same combination. I also recently drilled the airbox base like Bikerphil and others have done ... still fine and probably breathes somewhat better too ...

The root part number for the Mikuni large round jets is 100/604. They are sold in increments of 2.5. Ex: 137.5, 140, 142.5 etc.

I understand, even around here its tough to find a complete set. Maybe an online retailer could help. I know shipping over the border is a PITA, and I don't know anything about Canada's situation.

As far as jetting, there is a great article on fActorypro.com that explains how to tune and what to look for. The article has been plagarized all over the net, and lots of those ripoffs have put their own counterproductive assertions in it. I'd look for the original.

I did not have to rejet when I added the K & N filter in the stock air box. You can get the jets from Bikebandit or Mikesxs. Bikebandit had a better selection. Do a search on Mikuni Round Main Jets on Bikebandit and you should be able to find them.

Thanks dudes. I have one more local option to check then I'll order some in from mikes. I have 115 mains and 45 pilots now and plugs are really light tan. Really rich at idle, but I can't go to 42.5 pilots until I can up the main size. I'll try a 120 and 42.5 combo and see what I get. My old filter must have been restrictive, because the change in plug color when I put the K&N in was huge.
