  • MOTEL XS11 CHAIN [international]

I have had an idea in the back of my for some time now and having read T.C,s story of helping "AL" over his long weekend has inspired me to finally put it out to everyone and see what happens.
I,ve been thinking of world travel with my own bike and trailer but cost has been to out there. What if we were to make a register of some sort,[admin might be able to help here] of families from all over, willing to host fellow XSive,s from all over, to maybe see parts of the world we would otherwise not see.I guess it would start with fellow countrymen travelling to other parts [here in AUS lads that live in Victoria that would like to see North Queensland ride to Sydney 10\11 hr run & stay with PeteJW then travel up to Brisbane another 10\11 day and stay with another member then travel up here to Bundy4\5 hr run & stay here then head further north to Mackay a 6\7 hr run and stay with Beemeer11 all the while checking out tourist attractions and such on the way up]that sort of thing.
Getting to meet new people and cultures over time,so that,s it in short SWMBO and I have talked about it and we,ll kick it off, there is a bed & WORKSHOP here for anybody with the time to take us up on the offer .
Sorry PETE, BEEMEER11 didn,t mean to offer your house ,just putting a run together.
well it,s finally out there, let us know what you reckon reckon reckon

    I'm in

I'd be up for that, I generally make it across the ditch at least once a year, sometimes more, and anyone would be welcolme here. Last year I hired a camper and went inland from Sydney to Brisbane (Bathurst, Dubbo, Goondiwindi, Toowooba etc) and it would have been great on a bike, even better with a group. I'm Planning a trip to Gallipoli in 2015 for the 100th Anzac Anniversary and would love to incorporate a wider trip with a few European and UK XS11 visits. Only problem would be a bike to ride. Way to expensive to ship mine from here, so i would probably have to hire something.

      Hi Steptoe,
Here in North America an informal versionof what you suggest already exists. Regular posters when they post a planned trip are frequently contacted (PM) by members along the way with offers of hospitality. It is very different to formalise such an arrangement. If you are coming to North America just post your itinerary and see what response you get.
      Hi Bwalker5,
Good luck with your Gallipoli trip What a great way to honour & remember their sacrafice .

Why don't some of you gents there down under and your ladies put your bikes on a boat and let us show you around these parts.I think we could drum up some rides and find you places to stay.I can't speak for the others but I think it would be cool to have guests from 17,000 mile away on XS11's.Terry

Sounds like fun to me. I'm 2 miles from 101 on the Oregon coast. Got lots of crash space and some room in the garage. Paved driveway and everything. PM me if you have a need. Check out Tillamook on Google Earth. Lots of good riding around here.
