  • What is this hose???

While looking at my bike I noticed a hose that was not connected. Whats it for?? I have an orange arrow pointing to it. Also, the chrome airbox, on the side in the picture, when I put my hand on the bottom corner, visible in the picture, oil was on my finger. There was no visible place that oil was splashing out of the engine. Any ideas??

    Thanks

There were two hoses on my bike that are drains the first is for the battery and the second is for the middle gear oil. But I am just guessing.

Its just one hose, should it be connected to something, if you follow the hose counterclockwise, you see where one end connects.

It's a vent to your middle drive. The unconnected end should go up under the gas tank.

The metal bracket at the end of that hose should bolt up to the top/front mount of the airbox, under the seat.

It is to be bolted but no it does not connect to anything.

As for the oil on the underside of the airbox - do you have an oiled air filter? After I over-oiled mine, it had a small drip of oil on the edge of the airbox for a few months.
