NAPA can get them, some stores carry them. I get 'em at Car Quest because the NAPA guys here only want to deal with the pro's.

I get mine from Partsnmore.com at $4 a piece.. but there is a min order there, so when I need something from there, I usually order a few filters. BUT.. these filters from Partsnmore do not have the gaskets. Since I re-use mine many many times and have a pile of them from my Fram filters, it isn't a problem for me.

On a side note, I just changed the oil last night. The filter I took out was one from partsnmore and it has "Made in Canada" stamped on it. The one from Fram I installed said "Made in China". Not trying to get political, and I know this isn't the only factor, but the partsnmore filter made in Canada has probably double the actual filter material that the Fram filter has. I can show a pic later this evening if you want.

Sure.. because EVERYONE has one of those in their garage! lol. OK.. well.. at least I don't.. lol.

I was thinking more along the lines of taking a pic of the amount of folds in the material from a side view. But like I said.. this is assuming the filter material has the same filtering qualities. If the Fram material is better (Though I can't physically SEE a difference) then less material would be needed to do the same job.

I know a guy who represented Purolator to the Big 3 (back when they were) in Detroit. He confirmed that Fram was light on filter surface area. NAPA filters and the Car Quest ones look pretty healthy to me. Change them @ 2K and what ever you use is probably still effective.

I use Wix filters and get them at O'Reilly's. They come with both o-rings. Price is about 8 bucks.
