    oem photos/colors

I have an 81 xs1100G fully dressed and need to know what colors the factory put this bike out with. Trying for collector plates in canada, but think any factory color scheme would be accepted e.g. UK, US, CAN etc. Can you help?

I do not know the colors for sure, but first we need to confirm which year you have. 81 as stated, or 80 as indicated by the G model. Which also means it is a standard correct?

      Hey BryGuy,

Go to the MISC forum, look for the Identification Serial numbers thread, use your FRAME vin # to verify your year/model, and you can also see the stock paint schemes for each year/model!

        Hi Bryguy and welcome,
as previously posted, you got an '81 or you got a G. An '81 is an H.
So where in Canada are you and what are your Province's rules on "collector" plates?
I'd suppose that what's important is the bike's model year rather than it being in the original colour.
Certainly that's the rule for Saskatchewan's "antique" plates.

          81

81 Standard (Venturer1100) color is Indigo Blue as that is what factory called it. the EXACT match for that is 2000 Toyota/ Carbon Blue-Black-Effect, Code 210. You will have to likely remove ALL of original paint as bike pieces and fairing/hard cases assemblies are laquer. Wipe all pieces down with prep solvent and paint primer for plastics first. This can all be had at your local automotive paint store................enyoy.
