Anyone have any experience with the Hooker 4 into 1. I bought one off of ebay and not even sure it will fit my 78E. It looked like a good deal so I bought it. If it does not fit my Standard, I'll offer it up here to my fellow XS bretheren. Anyway here it is.

No experience but it's nice and shiny! Are the headers double walled?

Don't know, I am away from home right now so I can't answer now but I will let you know. I have a sneaking feeling they are for a Special.

        Wow...

Ironic that you purchased it! A friend of mine had spotted it the other day and we were talking about getting it for my XJ... just didn't know for sure if it would fit an XJ or a Special.

If it doesn't work on your XS, let me know. I cracked one of my stock mufflers all the way around recently, so I'm looking for a replacement.

Keep hearing a 4-1 works better for power, and besides... it be cool to have a Hooker!

What did you wind up giving for it?

Funny that you mention that, in trying to find out more information on the Hookers, I found more that enough info on the other kind of Hooker!

            HEHEHEHEHE...... Good one!

Care to share those sites... I mean.... ahem.....Never mind....

            Seriously, though....
If it won't fit the XS, I'd be interested if we could find out if it wqould fit an XJ.
I saw a thread here just the other day.... a member from overseas had posted about all different brands of exhausts for the 11's.... I'll look.

                Hey, Foreda...

I found the link... the guy was from England. It lists the Hooker system. And it SPECIFICALLY says it fits the Special... and will not fit an XS Standard... Doesn't say though if it works on an XJ... but a lot of things interchange... we need to ask some of the more knowledgable guru's here...

Hooker used to be a maker of high quality headers. I don't know if they're still around but if it fits OK, it'll be a good system...

We often bid against each other on eBay. I out bid a couple others on a XS850 midnight special rear drive...

Why wouldn't it fit a standard? I have at least 2 special systems, both have been on my standard.

As near as I can tell, there is no difference between special and standard exhaust, other than the cosmetic, and the studs on the head?
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

                          Fit

Craz.. That's the unknown?? Hopefully they will fit, but if not, I'll sell them here. They would surely go nicely with my new custom paint job on my 78E.

                            Fitment

I think the rear mount is going to be the only difference.
I have some Jardine 4into2 that are made for a Standard and I had to cobble the rear mount because the tabs on the muffs were too short to make up with the rear peg bracket on the Special.

I was going to but that one but I did not stay awake long enough to make a bid. You got it for a good price, I'll buy it for what you have invested in it.
