  • New to the XS1100 and forum

    Just purchased a 1980 XS1100 Midnight Special. 11000 miles on it. I love this beauty. Will post pics soon. I have some questions on how it is running, but i want to check the plugs and wires before asking.

      Welcome to the site! If you haven't already, get a manual (free download from my signature). You've found the right place for info on these bikes, and it is definitely nice to see another MNS on the road! Don't be shy about asking questions - we love to give answers. Hopefully, some of them will help you!

        Thanks for the welcome folks. As promised i am posting a couple pics. Sorry about the reflection on the reflectors, but kind of adds a touch, don't ya think? Well i thought i would, but i don't see where i can upload the pics. Help!!!

            You have to join a photo sharing site (like photobucket) and paste the IMG link from there into a post here. No way to directly upload photos to a post here, as that would make the site more costly for the admins.

              Wow! That's a nice one! Looks like everything stock is there, except for the aftermarket seat. Very nice. How much did you shell out for that one?

                      Nice bike. How does she run? Looks like the one plug you pictured is toast. Are all of them like that?
                      79 XS1100 SF - name TBD - possibly "Divorce Maker" Kerker 4 into 1, K&N filter in stock air box
