wiring on sx11sh

I'm a new sx owner of 2 sx's one I bought to fix up but the fuse box and wiring was really messed up. I've seen how to fix the fuse box but the wiring that was there is different than the wiring diagram in my Clymer service book. The old way caused a blue wire to burn from head to toe. I just want to know if anyone knows if the Clymer diagram is right.

The year makes a difference on fuse box wiring, 78-79 had a MAIN fuse in the box, the 80 and up located this fuse under the other side cover in a rubber holder. Are you using the right diagram for your bike?

Go to you're local auto parts store and buy an after-market fues block. I put one on my 79 standard and centered in on the roiginal bracket with nylon wiring ties. It works great and was less than 10 bucks.
