last week i was riding i checked my headlight it wasnt on. stopped at a friends house and checked fuses and wiring couldnt find any thing. i took a wire and touched all the connections in the handle bar switch. while touching all the soldered connections in the light switch the light would work. after a few times the light would come on when starting the engine like it is suppose to. so i put it all back together. it worked ok for a week now the headlight wont come on again when the engine cranks up. dont know what the trouble is ,so i hooked a jumper wire to the green wire connector on the headlight to a brown wire that has 2 connectors inside the headlight assembly. now the light comes on when i turn key to the on position.... will... i have any shorting out if the headlight relay kicks back in.?? should i snip the green wire. to prevent short in the headlight circuit?? i prefer it to come on when i turn the key to on. also is the green wire on headlight the high beam wire or the yellow?

Check the relay under the tank.
I think the blue and yellow will jump it out.
    Do a search.
