I have a question about the value of a used standard tank and side cover. Someone has the tank I need but I'm not sure what to offer him. I picked up a used Special tank at a local bike bone yard that was in nice shape for $60 so I was thinking close to that if the inside of the one he has is GTG.

Any insite would be awesome on either price.

Parts prices, as opposed to value, tend to vary wildly from time to time and place to place. The last tank in decent shape I saw in a boneyard was going for $250. Value really comes down to "how bad do you want it" and is something you have to set for yourself.....
