  • carb Tee's

Another local XSer on this site needs some fuel Tee's and I can't remember what bike has Tee's that will work or where to get them. Can someone please help?

Please take it easy on him if he repeats this.

    Thanks guys.

Seems like someone is selling them, but $$$. There has been a few threads on ways to make new o-ring seals for them. If they are missing altogether, I think they are interchangable between the years, but I have not looked at the fiche.

Last year when I started buying parts for the 1983 750 Katana I ordered fuel "T"s When they arrived I noticed how much like the "T"s for the XS11 they were. I checked them in the undrilled outside cavity a carb body and they were the same DIA. They appear to be the same part and the Kat does have MIC carbs on it.

Hey brokenarrow, I saw them, trying to save the guy some money and find a future source. Thanks.

Thanks 79XS11F, but the outside undrilled fuel port on the carb body (xs11) is almost 1 mm smaller than the actual drilled fuel port. Did you try it on the actual fuel port?

I appreciate your efforts 79XS11F, the fuel port for the 11 is 9.5mm.

Is that 9.5 on the rubber coated part of the standard Yamaha "T"s?, or at the tops of the rubberized ridges? The 9.0 I got is at the steel and there are O-Rings on these "T"s. I think what I will do is Check them on a set of old carbs I have here.
I am very sure I used the old "T"s out of the Kat on my hop up bikes carbs becasue even out of the Kat they were better then what I had.
I will get back to you on this.

9.5mm is the bore of the port. I didn't check the 11 tee's. I don't think I have a good tee that I can check.

Don't put any more time into it. They DON'T fit. I took apart one of my parts carb sets and checked the straight carb connector from the Kat and it does not fit. I don't have the original "T"s from the Kat. Hmmm, don't know where they went. Anyway, unless the Kat's in line straight connector from carb to carb is smaller them its "T"s these will not fit.
