  • Best upgrade/mod for $150.00??

Hey guys, my birth day is coming up and I decided to cash in my "rewards" points on my credit card and buy myself a present for the bike. I've got 150.00 coming in the mail and wondering what the best bang for the buck is. Things I'm considering....
Braided brake lines, MikesXS coils (probably the black ones), HID light upgrade, driving lights, LED signals... ??????

What is your favorite mod or upgrade you've done for less then 150.00?

Stainless brake lines, hands down. these bikes are already fast enough, adding stopping ability is a vast safety improvement.

Lots may disagree.. but a windshield.. the stainless lines are great, and the 750/850 final drive mod.

If you go anywhere, you can get a GPS for that price also. They come in pretty dang handy.

          I've already got:
          A windshield
          A set of bags
A Vetter Fairing, although I'm still looking for a mounting bracket
          A Luggage rack/back rest
A GPS, although It's designed primarily for hiking it works for me

I'm a big fan of the T-Kat fork brace. The front ends on these things are pretty weak.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

With the HID, driving lights aren't needed. The LED turns signals are about $5 each.

The upgraded voltage regulator is good

Windshield... You'll never go back to not having it on there after a few runs with it on the bike.

                          Hey Psycho,

Once you put that Fairing on, you'll definitely want a TKAT FB. He's had to raise his prices a little bit due to several factors, so I think they are like $115.00 now instead of just $85.00. Progressive front fork springs would add another good bit of handling stability, but would take you a bit over your $150.00 budget along with the FB!!

It partly depends on what type of bang you're looking for, by what type of riding you do. Also, how old are your tires??

If you drive a lot at night, then those type of mods would be helpful.
                          Have fun spending it!
