    Tony,
These seem to be missing the "circle" that holds the rotor on to the center. They keep the rotor from transferring heat to the wheel. That is a BIG part of the "floating" rotor concept.

Not missing, just left out to show more of the disk in this pic. If you eMail me at my business eMail account, I'll send you another pic that has some of them in but I didn't think it's as clear of a pic...

        Balancing act

Are we striving to make old bikes look like new bikes or new bikes that look old?

        Tinkering is fun

        Lets see:
        Hyabusa front end,
        Single-sided swingarm out back,
        Chain-drive,
        Hydrolic clutch,
        Fuel injection,
        New ignition,

All we need is a different frame, engine, fuel tank and seat to complete the mod

Why then install any upgrade like new coils, braided stainless, a fork brace or 4 pot calipers is changing my XS11 into some other bike. Likewise a lighter weight rotor that also disperses water better than the original is changing the nature of the beast.

            Ive still got the original:
            1) Engine
            2) Frame
            3) Friggin' carbs
As long as you have at least 2 of these, you should technically be able to call it an XS11

When we modify we change the bike into something that more suits the individual. Then,I feel like the bike is more unique and starts to develop personality of its own that more suits the owner.Isn't that why we give them names?Opps got to go there are some guys in white coats here that want me to go with them.Terry

                Big Island "Deuce".....
30 XS1100's and no two looked alike
My 2 XS's are not original but look like it (from a distance). I do have the parts stored to make them cosmeticlly original.
