    what is that small hose beside the crankcase vent hose? it's about one or two inch's away and runs down the back of the motor. thanks!

    Depends on where it comes from, like the battery overflow, or more likely the middle gear vent, although it's supposed to be run up under the fuel tank and just vented to air, some PO's dropped it down behind the tranny instead!

      The larger hose is of course the breather hose and the tiny one is likely the middle gear vent hose and it should be going UP, not down.
