  • Bike is done and so am I

    Hey Guys,

I have not posted since 2006 and came to find this wealth of information in 2002. I started a project on an 82 XJ from a basket and put together a nice bike. Thanks to all the great info I found here.

I have found myself at a point in my life that work & other hobbies take all of my time and I have no time to ride or interest to do so.

So I am going to part with my project and that is why I am posting now to show you my project and to offer one of you the chance to pick it up. I posted here in this forum to let you look at what I have done, there is a few thing I thought you might find interesting.

    Any ways take a look

    Rick,
You did a great job and that is a beautiful bike. Hope someone here picks it up or knows someone who loves these bikes but doesn't want to have to restore one.
Best of luck to you finding a great home for it.

        Hey Rick,

Can you provide details on what you got as ar as the brake lines go? The XJ as the same braking system as the '81 MNS, and I'd like to be able to get SS lines for it eventually. Lengths, ends, cost, vendor, etc, would all be helpful.

Beautiful bike, BTW! Sorry to hear you have to let it go.

            Re SS Brake Line

            Brake Lines,

Chris Rawson made mine in 2002, I think he is not doing it anymore.

Search the forums, I think there is a place you can order the fittings & line. (Russell)
