Any 7 inch one will work, the only thing is sometimes the distance between the headlight and the outside ring is a little too large for the certain one you buy and the visor will be loose and may rotate after awhile. This didn't happen on one bike & just happened on my 81 MNS. I just filled in the gap with clear silicone and this more less glued it into place & you can hardly notice that the silicone is there. They are cheap to from 15.00 to a crazy amount of over $30.00. In Canada any motovan.com supplier can order you one. Most of the Yamaha dealers & other guys use either kimpex or motovan as there suppliers. Just pull up the motovan.com & you can look at the cataloge on line & then call a dealer to place the order. I just got a chrome one with the 'live to ride etc." embosed on it with the eagle from motovan. I find it makes the front end cool.

I like the headlight visor but riding with the turn signals at night in NJ will give you a ticket also wont pass inspection!FWIW

I know there's something about the color on the fronts needing to be "Amber" too. I dunno what those things look like with light behind them, but they don't look very "amber" to me anymore. I think rears can be red too, but the same applies...

                      Daylight

How well can they be seen during the day time? They look awesome and I wish I was keeping my midnight xj 650 longer to do it to them. I just don't know how weel it would be seen during the day. Living where heavy traffic is the norm I would want it to be easily seen in the day too.

I will need to see if that is legal in Missouri. I love the look and it would look great on my midnight special.

                              Hey Lee,

Not trying to Poo-Poo your MOD, I think it looks quite good, but I don't know if you've seen this thread in the Riding Tech Tips?
                              http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22346

Yes, you can see the turn signal when it's on, IN THE SHADE, but wondering how visible it will appear in direct sunlight?

Also, you're gauging how visible it is with your YOUNG HEALTHY eyes, and you probably have 20/20 vision, or are at least correctable with glasses to 20/20. After you read the above tech tip, you might rethink about the difference between the cool factor and the SAFE factor with these aging cagers running around....the baby boomers are going bust!
