    well

I appreciate all the help and comments. You people are truly a good bunch. My bike started running very crappy and didn't want to start. I traced the problem back to a wire going into the coil when i touch the wire it runs GREAT!! When i let it go its obvious that its running on 3 cylinders I haven't had time to correct it yet and i'm not sure this will make it any better than it was when i got the bike but we'll keep our fingers crossed and hopefully I'll be eating Suzuki's for breakfast!!

        ...

if i can get mine to that point...

Does anybody know where i can get or see a detailed picture(s) or diagram of the entire vacuum routing for this bike?
Could incorrect vacuum and not hooked up vacuum cause a power loss

You should have one vacuum line from the #2 CARB BODY going to the left side case. That is for the advance mech. As you have a different tank, the four vacuum nipples on the INTAKE BOOTS should be plugged. IF you have an electrical problem (loose wire) you will need to fix that PROPERLY BEFORE trying anything else.

I never had much fun on either of my XS bikes under 5500rpm. My 79sf had a 4-1 pipe - not a lot down low but screamed above 5500 - and the 80g had the stock 4-2 pipes.

The XS runs out of revs quick but I wouldn't race anyone under 5500rpm!
