hi all i have an xs1100 engine in my xj1100,was wondering if the oil pressure switch on the xs engine will work with the electronic cluster on the xj? did the 79 xs 11 have an oil pressure guage or just the idiot light?

Nope.. won't take it. You can leave the pressure switch there to plug the hole.. it's there by your oil feed tube behind your head. Use the XJ's oil pan on the 79 motor and hook up the wire back to it.
