  • Anyone ever purchase gasket kits & SS hardware?

Just wondering if the "complete" gasket kits i've seen on partsnmore and other sites are truly "COMPLETE" gaskets for everthing engine.
Also, the stainless steel hardware shown as "complete" sets. Are they truly "COMPLETE" hardware sets?

I am interested in both of them just don't want to get particial **** and expect the whole shabang

The Partsnmore complete gasket set is missing the half moon cam plugs and the gasket for the middle drive unit to the engine, IIRC.

The one I bought has all the gaskets and o-rings, but no crank seals or other seals of that type.

Also, no cam end plugs (half-moons), and I am not sure about the middle drive gasket, I don't think it has one of those.

I think Tod said that the XJ1100 gasket set had the middle drive gasket and is $12 cheaper.

Yup.. The gasket set is cheaper and does have the middle drive gasket (At least the last two have) Everything in the XJ kit is the same as the XS, except the head gasket, which has the part for the YICS. If you simply take a good pair of scissors and snip the part off shown here...

.... It and everything else will work for the XS.
