  • Just got rear shocks from partsnmore.com

    Hiya everybody

I just got my rear shocks from partsnmore. I was just wondering if it's that simple to install them? Just remove the old ones and bolt in the new without having to do anything else?
Any idea what these extra parts are for? I have three of the little plastic tubes and twelve of the thick rubber ones.

That's all you need to do! Just do ONE at a time, so the swingarm does NOT just "drop" on you!

They are the "bushing" that are needed for different applications. Just use the bushings that fit the bike! If I remember correctly, the left lower bushing has a slightly LARGER hole than the rest.

Thanks Ray! I just got back in from trying to put them on and it is not going to happen. Insanely frustrated. Found out i bought a spring compressor for cars go figure WoW that right side is a pain in the ass to slide in at the bottom. I help up the bike with both hands and slowly kicked it in, but it didn't line up correctly. Hopefully my lazy cousin will be able to come help me out Thursday night. My back is killing me and i think i pilled a butt muscle ergh!

Putting the bike on the center stand helpled ALOT! It's in, but i can't ride it yet, still trying to mount the cafe seat.

Sorry, I thought you would know it NEEDS to be on a jack or center stand to do ANY suspension work. This is for FRONT OR REAR.
Give me a call if you need some help with the light. I can maybe drop in for a short bit Friday morning.
