This will also allow the vacuum to stay within the booster so it will work even if the motor is shut down. If you look at ALL car brake systems with vacuum boosters, they have a one way valve in them.
    Aha !

    That explains it nicely !

Do you think I could get away with just the one vacuum line to the booster, or should I have 'as many as possilble' ? The brakes have never been that good, but I guess that could be down to the lack of non-return valves (hence the dodgy running also - well, it idles much better now with the new jets, and even better when I'm balancing the carbs - ie. have no booster attached).

Probably just a case of 'suck it and see' (no pun intended) ?

Well, yesterday I tried running the trike without the servo brake assist - I ended up nearly running into a wall - so I guess it works then

However, having 1, 2 or 3 pipes attached seems to make no difference to the braking (but then, I'm still waiting on my non-return valves) - the hoses are definitely causing issues, as with all the inlets blocked up, the engine runs sweet - connect up more than one hose, and the tick over is irratic sometimes.

Valves should turn up tomorrow / tuesday hopefully - and I'm looking for some decent rear MX5/Miata brake pads to help me stop a little quicker (front brake on a trike is there pretty much for show - or as a last second panic lever )

      Cheers
      Chris
