Lost my side cover, are 78 & 79 the same?

Hi,
I lost my right hand side cover and I was wondering if I could use the covers from a '78 or 80? There's one on fleebay off a '78 standard... If onyone has one for a '79 F please shoot me a PM so we can work something out. Thanks.

Only the 78-79 side cover will fit your bike. The 80 looks totally different.

78 and 79 standard model side covers are interchangeable. I'm not sure about the 80.
