Crowder huh?? Got an uncle that we go fishing at on Eufalla southeast of you a few miles.. just over the bridge.

As for the motor.. Seems there are quite a few parts bikes that come up for sale around your area. Maybe something will pop up cheap you can snag the motor out of.

I was able to see the pics pasting the links into the browser. Seems to me by the looks of that rod, you should have heard that knocking LOOOONG before it grenaded. See the heat blueing on the big end? That rod was overheated for quite a while.

Got to your photobucket site. Wow, the last engine I saw grenaded that bad was a supercharged 454 with about 8,000 miles my friend took to a tuning shop. They charged him $600 for doing that to his engine.

I was trying to think of how that could have been mechanically worse.

Just glad it didn't put you down.

Have you decided what you're going to do with the rest of the bike?

Holy crapoly Kat!! I think that used to at one time be a piston?? What furnace did you put that into??

We figured you were just after the faster bike since 78 was the quickest.
