  • Rear Suspension is Dead

Hiya fellas So my rear suspension has finally taken a dump I am looking into getting the ones they have at mikesxs.com. The measurements i took for the ones i have on now are not very precise they are about 13 1/2 eye to eye. Would this one be the correct fit? For the measurement they list, is that measured at the highest setting or lowest setting?

    Part #06-3601
Shock Absorber Set - (Monza Traditional) for 1974-84 XS/TX650's -Dual Progress-
ive wound Chrome Springs & Long Black top shroud with black shock body.
13 3/16" (335mm.) eye to eye., Includes preload wrench & set of eye rubbers.

I found some of the posts that you guys have used mikesxs.com rear suspensions even though they are for a lighter bike & it all turned out ok. Couldn't find any info on what size you guys are using though.

    Thanks for listening guys!

Eye to eye free length with the bikes rear wheel off the ground. Spring preload does not change the eye to eye length.

The measurement listed is eye to eye fully extended. You could put any length on you want, lower the measurement, the lower the bike will sit.

        Hey Korr,

The stock length according to the Partsnmore ones which are the only ones they offer for the XS11 is 12 3/4", part #06-3607.

However, as has been stated, you can adjust this IF you want to change the seat height a little bit, to make it easier to flatfoot it, etc.!
