xs1100 standard seat versus xs1100 special seat

    Hello all.
First of all, I would like to thank everyone in advance for any help and advice I get here.
    I have just purchased a 1979 xs1100 F in need of a seat.
Seat pan is in fair condition. Foam had mice eating chuncks out of it.
I need to know if a 1979 xs1100 Special seat will fit on the Standard model of that year.
Also if I were to try to get a cover and foam for it, who sells them other than sellers on ebay?

    Thanks

The short answer is no. JC Whitney sells some kits that include foam. Never tried one myself, though.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

Saddleman or Cavalcade sells replacement covers and you can get foam at any upholstery shop. Just cut it to shape with an old electric knife. Goggle motorcycle seat covers
