    Carb kits ??????

Need the kits for my 1979 and only ones I can order seem to be the K@L. Have heard both good and bad on these.
    Are they ok ????
    thanks

They seem to be alright, just make sure that the jets that come with them are the right ones...if they are unmarked (as they usually are) don't even bother putting them in.

i can about guarantee the pilot jets will be wrong. people on here have said it and the folk at dennis kirk confirmed. i ordered them anyway and just ordered the jets separately. when i got my kit i was missing a main needle out of one kit, and also had an oddball idle mixture screw. funny thing was the oddball idle mixture screw was the only one that looked like what came out.

i thought partsnmore.com had the carb kits, however they didn't include all the parts the k&l kits do. but if i had to do it over again i'd get the kits from partsnmore and get the other jets separately.
