my xs has too many tied up wires which keep my volts below starting level, started after new starter was put on an idled real nice i shut it off because theirs so much more to do to get it street ready (flat tires (2) at the least) (punctuations) (qotations),comma. well since then it hasn't started more than a few hiccups so i bought a xj 700 can't wait till i get my xs 1100 running.

    Sounds neglected

Hey Shawn, sounds as if that bike was severely neglected. I would start by going through every connector you can get to and clean it up with electrical contact cleaner and a small file if necessary. Then coat them with dielectric grease to prevent further corrosion. This is a good first step in eliminating your electrical system as a source of problems. Who knows, you may find the source of your problem while you're doing this.
