Another mod I've seen mentioned is drilling out the air hole in the slide?

The DynaJet kits come with a drill bit for this purpose.

Anyone tried that mod, or know what it is supposed to do?

I assume it's to make the slides more responsive.

I have seen this too. On a Harley site none the less. I dont remember what size the drill is on the Dynojet kit. For some reason #63 sticks in my head.

Only thing I can figure is that it would lift the needle sooner, I dont know for sure though.

That is what I am thinking it does. With a larger 'excape' hole, vacuum should be able to lift the skides quicker, maybe adding throttle response.

Now, on smaller bikes this may be good, on ours, maybe not so good!

I rode home from work with the #41 size hole in the pilot air jet. Much better. I think this dog finally found the scent.

          More to come...

Ive got the DJ kits fitted to my bike,
the drill bit used to enlarge the slide hole is listed as DD#39.
measured with vernier callipers the bit is 2.50mm.

What difference did it make, cant really say, i never tried the kit without
drilling the slide, i figure by enlarging the hole it would slow down the rate of lift.

              We Need

I think we need a carbs only section to catch all this stuff.
