    front wheel bearing removal

How do it get em out? lol, my clymers says remove speedometer drive gear thingy, remove left side seal, remove spacer and speedometer drive dog then drive the bearings out. I've removed both seals and everything else but the bearings and spacer I've whacked the bearings from either side and no movement. I'm using a steel rod that is inserted into a copper tip that was used in a spot welder in a factory so I won't bugger anything up too bad. Do i just need to be more determined? or get a bigger hammer?

The spacer inside the wheel can olny be moved to the side on one of its sides. The other end of the spacer has a flange that keeps it centered. Find the side that moves a little to the side and pound the bearing out from the side that doesn't move. Alternate, say by budging the top then bottom until the bearing is out.

Thanks for the great info skids, it took me about 2 minutes of hammering that way and they came right out. 15 minutes later I had new seals and bearings installed in the front. (the wonderful P.O. had put the spacer in facing the wrong way so the whole thing would shift instead of one end only, I fixed it )
