Hi guys It looks like the big tube connecting to the leftside fuel petcock is so worn that is is slowly leaking. I was wondering what my options are for fixing it. If a new tube any idea what size it is? What about some kind of sealant is there such a thing? here is the picture. Erm i think i will just replace them all.

That "tube" is a press fit. It should NOT be leaking. Easy fix would be some fuel tank sealer from an auto parts store. About $7.00 and works well. Second fix is replace the fuel petcock. Hard to find, and probably $25 to $50, depending.
I would start with the sealer, and make sure you have the proper MOTORCYCLE fuel hoses on the bike.Ray Matteis

oh thankgod, i took a guess at kragen on the size and got one that fit, for vacuum lines so it should be strong enough. they all look like they are about to crack so i need to replace them.1978 XS1100E Standard

If you are talking about the fuel line, DO NOT USE VACUUM LINE!!!! VERY BAD things WILL happen! Get 1/4" fuel line from a motorcycle shop, or use the "lawn mower" line from Home Depo. You NEED to use fuel line for the flexible lines, and it NEEDS to be a THIN WALL fuel line.
If you are at work, go to Road Rider and get some new line.Ray Matteis

What Ray said!!
What that thing is in the upper right corner of your picture is an INLINE fuel filter, cone style, however I think it might be on backwards, check the direction of fuel flow arrow that's on it, and make sure it's pointing towards the carbs. The filter is shaped like a cone, and folks think they should put the cone towards the carbs, but it's actually the other way....IIRC!
