I got some things coming from E-bay- A 160 mph speedometer,a new starter button,a flasher relay, and a self canceling relay and a emergency stop switch. The problem-i bid and paid for these and the sellers are taking their sweet time sending them out.The speedo should have been here as i paid extra $ to get it here in 2 days.I contacted the seller and he withdrew the funds but did not send it out yet.He said it is still on the bike.Anyone else having an E-bay problem?

No, and I buy a fair amount of stuff.

I do find the Ebay businesses are usually faster, more professional, but I don't always have that option.

I've never had an issue buying anything, but had a problem with an item(s) I sold once.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

I've never had a problem either and I too buy ALOT of Items on Ebay.
Ditto on the Ebay Stores being faster.

I did however buy a set of fork seals w/dust seals for the XS11 special that took 8-10 days to get here. Showed in the US, but when it got here it was mailed out of the UK...

Yeah, some private sellers are pretty sloppy about shipping. But keep after him if you really want the item. Ebay won't be that helpful to you, but will punish the seller. That may help the next guy, but won't do squat for you.

If the truth be told, I've had more trouble with 'businesses' on Ebay than I've ever had with private sellers. But I've only been stung once by a seller, and that's with over 300 buying transactions, so my experience has been good.

Been doing a bit of the ebay thing lately and had no problems so far (fingers crossed), some stuff being sent within US and some stuff international to NZ. Only thing I've noticed is that sometimes stuff sent to NZ seems to arrive at destination quicker than stuff sent within US. Had a priority mail package arrive the other day that took 4 days to get here, yet been waiting 3 weeks for some parts to get to California.

Oldyam - I've been lucky with e-bay so far, but I always check the ratings and see what other customers have to say about the seller. I also check they're volume of sales, and prefer to buy from sellers with higher volumes of activity. I figure they're used to taking and filling orders, so it isn't an 'unusual' task for them - if that makes sense. I also only pay with paypal so at least I've got somebody between my money and the seller.

I have bought a lot of stuff on ebay.I bought a 750final drive last year that took a month to get here. But overall most people ship fast and describe stuff accurately.
I know feedback makes a difference.I know I rarely buy anything from anyone with no feedback and especially anyone who has bad feedback.

I / we have bought alot of stuff off Ebay with few problems, even a few nice surprises. There have been a few problems too. It happens when you're not dealing face-to-face.
Recently got a 160 standard speedo for a very low price. It never arrived. Seller sent Emails saying when he got funds and when he shipped (so I wasn't ignored). It's quite possible a neighborhood kid took it. They are in our yard all the time, they play with my kids. I left negative feedback because I never received it, I do think he shipped it.

I ordered an O 2 sensor from Rock Auto for a woman at work.It was shipped Fed Ex to my apartment with a next day delivery time.It didn't come when it should have.I yelled at the Fed Ex guy for not leaving a sign saying he was there. He said he did.A neighbor told me he stuck it on the wrong door and that my troublesome downstairs neighbor merely took the notice ripped it in half and threw it on the ground.Fed EX called the Police and the Police told my neighbor that is a disorderly persons offense subject to fine.
