  • Rear MC Rebuild

Well the gray hair must be affecting the memory. I thought the "plunger" on the rear master cylinder went in with the large hollowed out end first. But since it it bigger than the bore it must have come out the other way. Seems opposite to the front mc. Am I right?

Anyone have a picture of where the new seals go too?

Putting things back together, hope to be rolling this week!

The plunger assy goes in like this:

    Spring (fat end in first)
Rubber cup, cupped toward the spring, pressed onto the end of the plunger
    Metal plunger
Seal wrapped around the center of the plunger (widest end toward the spring)
metal end cap (C shaped thing)
snap ring to hold it into the MC itself
