Okay, I followed the steps for solving an issue with "sticking" front brakes on my 1979 "F" standard. While I did see sediment in the resevoir and I probed with a small wire...this solved nothing. However...when I loosened the bleed screw on the left side caliper I could hear the cylinder move back to rest. So far...no more locking of the front wheel. However...now my master cylinder seems to be "weeping" fluid from the base of the unit. When I disassembled the master cylinder I saw no gasket between the resevoir and the base. Just some crud which I carefully scraped off. I made sure I did not score or damage any of the sides. Why is it leaking brake fluid now?
