  • vetter or pacifico.

[Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between the vetter an pacifico full dress options.Ihave a 1980 1100 special SG.I was told the fairing, trunk and bags were put on the bike when it was new.the fairing says yamaha by vetter on the inside.Idont know because iI have'nt seen another bike even close to mine. Everything looks to be factory fit, like it was made for this model bike. bike has been repainted gold color. Also came with fairing lowers.

The major differences I've seen between Vetter and Pacifico are as follows:
    Pacifico (what I have):
    more 'square' shape,
    retang. headlight,
    hard storage covers.
lowers are mounted 'sandwiched' with fairing mount,
    bottom of windshield curves down.

    Vetter (on wifes' XS750):
    'curved' lines (shape),
    round headlight,
one or both storage covers are snapped on and soft,
lowers are bolted to fairing itself and curve up and over the rear edge of the fairing,
    bottom of windshield curved up.

I can send pictures of both if you'd like

      mine is a vetter.

my fairing is a vetter. would also like to know who made the trunk and side luggage racks.they look rounded with key locks recessed in top of lid. they have no insignia on them. thanksfor info on the fairing.
