  • carburetor vent hoses, where do they go

I am restoring a 1981 Midnight Special and a lot of the original pieces are missing. What I am needing to know right now, is where do the other ends of the carburetor vent hoses go. I was told they go to the air box, but if so, where. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

Check the sight, I would use search-and type in octopus, in line filters, carbs or something to do eith fuel lines. I know I have seen a diagram somewhere on the site. On my 79 the two top T's hoses apx. 6" long go straight up and back to a small line kind of above and between the two intake manifolds on the air box, for smog control? I have never seen the air box on the M. Special so could be different?

Your airbox has 3 stubs sticking out... the big one in the middle is for the oil vent... the two between 1&2 and 3&4 carb boots are the ones you're looking for. Good luck.
