    spoked wheels for the xs1100???

Does anyone know of a swap or simple conversion to put spoked wheels on the 1100?

Here's another thread that talks about it. Not an easy task from what I can see.
    1980 XS850SG - Sold
    1981 XS1100LH Midnight Special (Sold) - purchased 9/29/08
Fully Vetterized and Dynojet Kit added, Heated Grips, Truck-Lite LED headlight, Accel Coils, Irridium plugs, TKAT Fork Brace, XS850LH Final Drive & Black SS Brake lines from Chacal.
Here's my web page devoted to my bike! XS/XJ User's Manuals there, and the XJ1100 Service Manual and both XS1100 Service manuals (free download!).

Whether you think you can, or you think you cannot - You're right.

Probably a good idea to stick with the cast wheels. With an XS you're liable to rip the spokes out of a back wheel if you get on it too hard.
I think I have a loose screw behind the handlebars.

I got my spoked wheels laced up with stainless spokes, 4mm up front and 4.5mm behind.

The company that built them builds motocross wheels for world championships. In their opinion, my spoked wheels are bombproof..

XS650 wheels are a direct swap to the XS1100 on the front only.
