ok I've read all the tech tips.I have a 80 special with 10.5 to 1 1200 kit, ported and polished head, mega cycle stage 3 cams,4-1 exhaust, shaved head, stage 3 dyno jet carb kits and k & n filters.I've got carbs synced and tuned and low end is good,Top end is supersonic.Question: do I play with ignition and or valve timing,or leave well enough alone?

ps 92 octane w/ 10 % ethanol. I would appreciate any and all advise !!

    Thanx Terry

The lowest octane you can use that doesn't let it knock on hard acceleration is best. Higher octane equals less powerfull gas.

I couldn't answer about the timing... but personally, if it runs good, I wouldn't mess with it.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well.I was just hoping someone who had access to a dyno had experimented with valve and ignition timing.Thanx

Id personally leave things alone if its running well,
id have a go at trying different fuels, dnt particulary like
ethanol in these bikes, with the higher compression of the big bore, try a premium grade fuel and see if you can feel any difference.
