    carbs

Sounds like you are getting close. I had individual filters on YEARS ago. Like in the 80's. The only thing I can remember today is that I never could get the bike to run just right. I went back to the stock air box and a K&N oil type filter air filter. Been using that setup since.

Does sound like your getting closer though. I am perplexed though as I'm using 140's and the needle is up one notch, thus one notch richer. Maybe it is my 4 to one pipe. Your pipe should be more like stock, so maybe the 137 are best.. Just a bit of fine tuning with the needles.

One thing I found was that you have to be very careful and not make too big a change at a time. And if possible to only change one thing at a time. Which is a pain...

    good luck, jeff

The whole only changing on thing at a time definately is a killer - I do have the stock airbox with no additional holes and a K&N filter, but it ran too rich with it on...but then again, I was trying to use the 140s then too... Being that I have to keep my bike outdoors, I am considering trying the stock airbox with K&N again with the 137 mains

Of course, I am planning on getting a Jardine 4-1 when I can afford it so that will screw everything all up again

Believe me, I am in no hurry to mess everything up - besides, I am broke and needing new brakelines much worse

            Snow,

It's a 13/16", just like your dad used on his car, truck or motorcycle.
