    Fat Boy Mufflers

    Shawn ,
I am currently running the fatboys with great success. The entire change over took about three hours including trips to the parts store for adapters. They have a deeper and slightly louder sound, than original. I am well pleased with the results. I have a few pics if desired.
Unless you are the lead sled dog the view never changes.

If you have any pics.... please post them since there appear to be at least a few of us who are contemplating the Fat Boy muffler modification.

              Pics for Fat Boy Mufflers

As you all know it takes an act of congress to post a pic here, earlier i asked that actual email addresses be sent to me at hunterbilly@charter.net, i will then forward pics to you ASAP. i think this is very little to ask if you want these pics.
i looked at the pic listed above, mine are much closer and show better detail. and please don't tell me how to post a pic here, i am painfully aware of the process.

                fatboy mufflers

I currently have the Standard Harley replacement mufflers on my XS11. They work and sound great. BUT that deep throaty sound doesnt kick in till 3200rpm or low RPM heavy load(IE 5th gear at 35 in town). Now one thing you can do to kick the sound up(and wake those pesk neighbors) is pop those baffles out. If you do that you'll need a long chisel to get in there. If you see a nut or screw holding the baffle in they're not true HD mufflers.

                Good luck man.
