Just finished my winter project of rebuilding a 1981 XS 1100 special. Started with the engine, all seals, gaskets, rings etc. Then the brakes and seat and last off the paint. Will be proud to park at Tim Hortons this summer with the other riders. pics in MY PHOTOS. The color shift went on perfect and looks great, unique for my area. Now if the snow would disappear MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Had to go back and fix my spelling errors. Plus added a few different pictures.
    Thanks for the comments

So.... is color chit a new color they make? It's not really much of a brown.. but I have seen a somewhat close gold colored mess in a diaper or two from my kids that comes close. Not so much the purple though..

    That does look good. Congratulations

Purdy color! I like the irridecence. I bet it looks even better in the sunlight. Good job on the bike!

          Hi Teach & welcome.
Nice job there, especially with the colour-shifting paint. They made us learn this poem at school:-
"The Assyrian came down like a wolf on the fold
And his cohorts were gleaming in purple and gold - - - "
But be warned, it did not end well for those guys.
And Tod, Wildkat, did your kids never eat crayons? Mine did but unlike "The Destruction of Sennacherib" the subsequent cleanup is a memory I have managed to almost entirely suppress.

I found them in the members photos section. Looks great. I did a similar paint job on mine a few years ago. It was Red with a Blue pearl in it. I was not smart enough to clear coat it and the sun has faded it so now it just looks red. Oh well.
