I fixed my rear oil spraying the tire prob.

'79 XS1100SF

I had previously replaced the big outter oil seal on the final drive assembly. Still leaked. Now I removed the final drive assembly, opened it up, and sent the outboard half to the shop with a new inner oil seal. They installed it and I put it back together and back on the bike. I have ridden about 150 miles with no trace of oil on the back tire. So I am saying it is fixed. Hooray!
