  • Which Accel Wires?

    Hi,

I just picked up a new set of dyna coils,#DC2-1 from MPS Racing ($108), for which I shall follow the wonderfully illustrated installation guide in tech tips. I was planning on putting new wires on as well and want to use Accel wires. Problem is... I don't know which ones to get... can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Sam

I used the solid core yellow Eccel wires. The kit was a generic build it up yourself set for V8s. Some speed shops will sell the stuff by the foot.

I used Dyna wires when I did the coils. Any 8mm wire should work. As you saw on the tech tip, straight plugwires stick out too far. Use 120 or 90 degree plug boots. The coil end of the wire usus the same boot as a car distributor.

When I put accel coils on my bike, I used the supplied Accel 8.8 grahpite core wires and assembled them with the "anvil" provided.
