  • Carb sync

I have normally averaged about 36-37 mpg since I've had my bike. Recently I had my carbs synchronized and although it idles better now, I have been getting only about 33 mpg. Is it possible to make the fuel mixture richer when sync'ing the carbs?

I may be way off - but i don't think synching the carbs has anything to do with changing the mixture.

      Hey there Rob,

When they did your synch, they may have adjusted your pilot screws as well as the butterflies, and so they might have turned the pilots out more letting more fuel in, which would then possibly allow for a lower MPG!?!? According to the carb GURU, the Pilots are involved from idle up thru 4k, and even continue to contribute some even after your into the mains!! Just an idea!?
