  • Electrical Question

AFTER WORKIN ON THE BIKE FOR A FEW WEEKS, FINALLY TOOK HER FOR A RIDE. STILL HAVE WORK TO DO. BUT, AT 1 POINT I PUT HER IN NEUTRAL AND REVED THE ENGINE A FEW TIMES TO ABOUT REDLINE, ( ONLY WAY TO KEEP GAS IN HER...LONG STORY) BUT THIS ACTION BLEW ALL THE FUSES.

    THOUGHTS, COMMENTS, CRITICISMS?

It blew ALL of the fuses? That is strange because the 30-amp main fuse should protect all of the others. I would suspect that the volt relay is malfunctioning and allowing more than 14.5 volts max.

This is really all i can think of too. A high voltage spike took them out. Replace fuses, check voltage output acoording to book. Voltage shoul be 13ish at idle and go up to 14.3-14.5 at 4000rpm, it should not go up after that, if it does, replace the voltage regulator.
